"DON'T SHOOT THE MESSENGER"

Good Morning......This blog was started because of my complete ignorance of the workings of our City (town) government and an interest in what was going on in the City (town). All I had to go by was what I would read in the local media and see on the TV. So what better way to get the real and inside information, than to ask questions in the hope that those in the know would respond. I have tried not to be confrontational, although some of the questions could be considered as that. I don't make the news nor do I have an agenda to sell newspapers. I suppose, just by asking a question can be considered being negative and anti -whatever. Anyway...... What better way to see how others feel, than to ask questions! SOoooooo.....DON'T SHOOT THE MESSENGER! ..... IT's YOUR TEN CENTS!

Touche.

I wouldn't get too worried about shooting the messenger . . . this is the sort of behavior that happens online when people don't have to look each other in the eye when discussing these sorts of issues. Humans are all too happy to revert to their base hostile instincts and America is a particularly big fan of shooting the messenger.

Keep asking questions and don't stop until people stop coming here to attack you. While they do that, you know you playing it correctly.

Thanks JOHN...I guess I can take off my bullet proof vest now and pull up the shades and send the security guards back to the hall! :~) Confrentation can be a positive thing sometimes, I think? It does allow people an outlet for their strong feelings...and does give them an opertunity to express themselves.

Ahhhhh, a nice slow day...a respit from the mad mad world! Since I am bored, I was checkin out that counter thingey on the bottom of the blog...Neeto groovy tuesday...some boring stats for any one that gives a shit! I have been on for 32 days, have had 2400+ hits, 374 responces (370 were probibly mine) which ammounts to a .155=16% ratio, which averages out to 75 per day, and with a total worth of $2.50. Any one want to buy? :~) I think I'll set out a couple of lawn chairs in the front yard and wait for chbpod to come up. I'll supply the libation, and we can throw acorns at all the cars that go by, and yell stuff at them if they look our way...that's what us grumpy old men do! It's hard gettin old!

between the bars...I agree but remember we are not living in the utopian world. It seems that we have to deal with personalities more than the issues. Just look at what is going on in washington! We wouldn't be in this mess if our elected officials cared more for our well being than their poll numbers. I think that politicans by nature are arogent, self serving individuals that care more about themselves than those they serve. Think of the possibilites if we really got a caring individual in office....Universal Health Care, Lots of good paying jobs, no nonsence fiscal policy, low utility cost, a sane enviromental policy, and the list goes on...sorry... I got off on a tangent. Yes I beleve QUESTIONS are one of our most cherished admendments, that's why it was put first!
