" HERE WE GO AGAIN "

A nut case goes on a rampage and out of the woodwork come the blamers! And of course each one has his/her answer to how to stop this sort of behavior dead in its tracks! First out of the box was... "Blame the school for not knowing that this was going to happen" , WHAT?

Then came... "It was the schools security's fault for lack of vigilance in monitoring the student population close enough", I guess they want a one to one ratio?

Then the BIG ONE............ The ANTI-GUN CROWD! "Oh ya, rising up out of the sewage that spawns them like the great white savior of the evils of modern society. Those pure white robed God like creatures that can attribute every misdeed or evil doing of humanity directly to the owning of a GUN, or wanting to own a gun, or just looking at a gun, or just looking at a picture of a gun!"

We are in for about a month or so of the blamers spewing their garbage and illogical answers to why this terrible massacre happened, of course they all will probably just forget that the person was totally insane and there is no other explanation!

It is not unreasonable to wonder whether different policies or laws might make a difference in the future. Clearly, if gun control could keep all guns out of bad peoples' hands, then such a killer could only take down one or a few people with a knife. On the other hand, if people were allowed concealed carry in a college environment, then such shooters would be taken out well before they claimed so many victims.

Blaming the security response makes somewhat less sense to me than either side of the gun control debate: do we lock down a city of 25,000 because of a shooting, and what good would it do if the shooter is already amongst his potential victims?

According to Dr. Phil-- on Larry King last night-- it's video games---frankly I'd feel safer in a class room if all the students and myself were "packing" EXCEPT (full disclosure) when I handed back the exams and papers----some British media site was reporting earlier this morning that the girl who was shot in West AmberHall was his girl friend who he believed to be seeing soneone esle- and that he went there to confront her- they had a row- and the guy that was shot was a RA who went to quell the disturbance---IF TRUE-- he went there with a gun-- the report also said that he then went back to his dorm Harper Hall--- and re-armed-- since only the first dorm was locked down- he had plenty of opportunity to mosey across the half mile to the classroom building---I haven't picked up any of that little tale on US media----suppsedly the two guns they found were a .22 and a 9mm Glock--- he had a receipt of purchase for the Glock in his back pack---this sounds like pre-meditated---and maybe he was the one who called in the bomb threats last week just to check security----a parent of a student (not invloved in the shooting) is calling for the firing of the college President and Chief of Campus Security---he said that campus security was an "Andy Taylor & Barney Fife" operation----the shooter was a senior English major---maybe instead of playing video games he had read too much Shakespeare--chbpod

I made that comment about him reading to much Shakespeare--without knowing that one the plays he wrote for class was titled Richar McBeef (McBeth?? and the theme is somewhat Hamletonian---forget the video game thing---and yes-- Southview is correct-- the guy was totally nuts---as for guns---whether they are banned or not-- they are available-- also-- although he was an English major--- he was at a Tech school---- and probably could have acquired the materials for a bomb-----the name Ismail Ax written in red ink on his arm-----plus his rantings about Christianity---and debauchery---is right out of the Muslim terrorist play book--without the bomb----I'm wondering if an autopsy will reveal a brain tumor--- of course there may not be much left to analyze---but as I recall Charles Whitman - the Texas Tower sniper had a brain tumor---but this VT kid was clearly disturbed----as for MCLA/NASC--- I can recall in 40 years only two incidents of a physical assault by a student on a faculty member---- both by the same student----one was on Carl Wolf and the other was moi--this was about 30 years ago----of course the kid was bigger than I (also bigger than Carl --the kid was about 6'4" and weighed about 270)---in both cases he took personally comments made by the Prof about the students not doing their work----in class he picked up the table at the front of the room and pinned Carl against the blackboard---in my case he jumped me in the cafeteria-- knocked me over while I was sitting in a chair having a soda---he jumped on me-- grabbed my hair ( I had some then) bannged my head on the floor- it took 5 students to pull him off me-- and when they did he got the last shot in my kicking me in the face--I had a cut over my eye from the rim of my glasses---bottom line-- he was off his meds---and that could be the case with the VT shooter---or even if he were on meds-- they may not have been the best---I know we have students at the college who are on one med or another- for depression-- anxiety--etc. but I know of no threats against faculty- admins or other students (other than your normal Saturday night brawl in the Townhouses-----dwp- is correct-- how do you lock down 25,000 people---it's easy to say if they had locked down all campus buildings after the discovery of the first shooting in the dorm- this would have been prevented----but that's a NO------this was planned and premeditated---he would have just waited for another day---or until the lock down was lifted---chbpod

Attaining a forklift work opportunity isn't effortless specifically if you are still learning the basics in order to use forklifts. NO more do people have to break their backs on lifting weights. What you do doesn't matter as much as actually doing what you can to ensure that your drivers understand the rules of safe forklift operating. Regardless of whether get certification on your own or through an employer, OSHA recommends the following plan outline: Forklift Linde Balkancarsideloader For Sale Miami Forklift Tcm Fenwickgas For Sale
