One question that rises every time that there is an administration change, should the outgoing gang be held responsible and liable for their wrongdoings? If our System is based on moral, ethical and legal responsibility then yes they should be accountable for their actions. All to often we see those that we trusted with upholding our values just slide away without any repercussions for their actions. I submit that if they were made to be legally accountable, with out the back door pardon, than there would be a much cleaner government. What do you think?

NEWS FLASH...........Our King George has just blamed the Democrats for all his problems and especially for the high gas prices. Wow, that takes a big set of balls! I suppose in his little pea brain if you just blame someone else for your mistakes and deny you have anything to do with it, than you are no longer answerable for them. Now that's something to teach our children..... Way to go Georgie!
Just one more interesting note...... I find it almost biblical in nature that the Republicans have had to cancel their convention on LABOR DAY. Is GOD trying to tell them something?

Although the local newspaper tries to spin the negative aspects, of which are very minor and superficial, the report is proof positive that CASINOS are a good investment for the state and the Town of North Adams. It would be a good idea for John Barrett to try and get in line now.
If Dan Bosley, after reading the report, is still not satisfied and still prejudiced after reading the facts, than he should just step aside and let the people decide for themselves, without his trying to interfere and interject his personal feelings. It is for the good of ALL the people, not just for the good of Dan's feelings!

In the battle between the seller, wanting to make as much profit as is humanly possible, and the buyer, looking for the least expensive product possible, there may just be a win for the American Worker, I mean consumer. We are not considered citizen workers any more, we are only thought of as consumers. Anyway..... I ran across this article in the New York Times and it verified my belief that GATT and NAFTA are no damn good. They only served the interest of greedy industrialist wanting to exploit people for profit. Well it has come back to bite them in the ass. The high cost of oil is bringing them slithering back. It is good news for the American (Mexican?) worker. Maybe again we can say with pride "MADE IN AMERICA BY AMERICAN UNION WORKERS"

Help me out with my conclusions to end our economic problems. I know it isn't complicated and filled with fancy innuendos and pie-in-the-sky resolutions, and I am not taking any credit for the idea, but what if we just nationalized our own oil industry, keeping here what we produce here and selling here what we refine here, wouldn't that solve most of what is going on and bring sanity back to oil prices? It seems to me that we are in the mist of a national crisis effecting the whole country and the whole economy. Should a few oil barons and oil company politicians and wall street speculators hold the whole nation hostage, just so they can enhance their bottom line? Ronnie The Rat didn't bat an eye when he nationalized the airline industry and took over the unions........"For the good of the people" Ya right! So what do you think? Are we in deep enough shit yet or should we wait a little longer.......like till this winter?

" CAT FOOD AND CANDLES "

I don't know about you, but I am stocking up on cat food and candles. After going over my bills I have had to face the reality that this coming winter is going to be disastrous. I, as well as the rest of you are going to have to make some very sobering choices. This is not The American Dream I was looking forward to in my later years. The problem is that no matter what you do to try and save, conserve, use an alternate, or relinquish altogether......it still cost you big sums of money with no place to turn for help. So I am stocking up now, before the run starts on cat food (I don't own a cat) and candles and the price goes up any further......What are you doing?

" It's Your Dime! "

A couple of items to rag on this mornin. First and probably the most important is the high cost of oil. I know summer has just begun, but already I am looking ahead to this coming winters heating season, as probably most people are.......... and I am scared shitless! What part of $700 - per fill of propane don't they realize I can't afford? During the heating season I use about two deliveries per month, you do the math! This is headed to a catastrophe for us this winter. The fuel assistance program, (of which I don't use but many many do) is going to be overwhelmed and we are going to have a very serious problem here in our Town. People are going to have to choose between keeping warm or buying food or paying their utility bills............ Is this the American DREAM we herd so much about? Sounds more like the American NIGHTMARE to me!

While we are on the subject of oil let me go on the record here that no matter how much domestic oil we suck outta the ground, or the Republicans spew that we need to drill here to lower the price, it isn't going to lower our price one penny. Why you ask? Because it will go on the market just like all the rest of the oil and be sold to speculators who will sell it at a premium price on the open market. Unless we force the oil companies to refine the oil here and sell it only here (allowing for a realistic profit) nothing is going to change. I believe the time has come to Nationalize our oil industry.

As King George slithers from office and is in his dying days of being the "decider", he has "decided" he wants to bomb Iran. What the hell is wrong with this nit-wit? Ain't 4000+ of our children's lives wasted because of his lies enough for him? The man is as INSANE as Hitler was.
